I Need a Few Good Men!
Okay, so the title of my blog is cheesy and misleading but hey, I need to get your attention.
Reach is in need of men to apply for next years Reach teams. They don't seem to be stepping forward very quickly this year and so we are trying to get the word out about it.
I have been the recruiting coordinator at Reach for the past 6 years. I love it. I love Reach. I think if God is calling you that being on a Reach team is a life changing experience. Challenging, yes, but very rewarding.
Today we had praise and worship with the whole community. Catholic young adults praying together praising and asking God to be the center of our lives. To show us how to love and what He wants us to do. It's an amazing thing to do that with a community of young adult Catholics who are on fire for God. I think most anyone who has done Reach can attest to that.
Are we perfect? No.
Are we the most holy people in the world? Not even close.
Are we trying? Yes, everyday
That's what makes this experience unforgetable and life changing. I believe with God there is always more...more love, more peace, more joy, more knowlegde...that is what we seek as God's children.
So, if you are reading this maybe God is calling you to consider stepping out...doing something that the "world" would consider crazy or foolish...and give God this next year of your life in a unique way. We cannot out-give God. One of my favorite passages when I think of this is in Mark 10: 29-30..."I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life."
Think about it.
Pray about it.
Do not fear.
If you know someone who would be good for Reach...pray for them.
Tell them you think they'd be great for it.
Download an application and fill it out or give it to someone who should.
Pray for us as we seek people for Reach. We are still accepting applications from men and women but we especially need men.
There is work to be done!

Maybe you should talk about how many men met their wives on REACH. Maybe not though...
Still only taking singles? But seriously I have someone that I'm trying to send your way. (Also, what's with my year posting comments)
