Here you go
So there has been a request that the blogger for St. Maximilian writes about one of the many miracles we have witnessed thus far. There have been so many I simply don't know which I should write about, I guess I'll just choose my personal favorite. So one cold and dark morning the St. Maximilian Kolbe team was making their way to Mass at Holy Redeemer in Yakima Washington in their shiny green astro van. Now because the girls on the team have a habit of sleeping in and running late in the morning, the team was kind of late, forcing the driver (Peter Berger) to exceed the speed limit. Everything was going well, the team was singing Lord We Lift Your Name On High when all of a sudden a gigantic buck ran out into the way of their shiny green astro van and stopped. Now this buck was enormous, I couldn't tell you exactly how big the beast was, for their were more important things on my mind at that moment than counting the points of its antlers, but if I had to make an educated guess I would say it was about a 26 point buck. Anyways as we were speeding along (Peter has very slow reflexes) with our eyes wide, holding our breath, and screaming the Great Buck vanished into thin air allowing us to continue on our merry way.
So next my team will be in Idaho for a MONTH! We are very excited to spend time together on the road and to do some retreats. We will also be in Salem Oregon for Thanksgiving spending time with Sabrina's family which will be pretty sweet.
ok ok so that's it for now, sorry if any of you were ever expecting to see pictures of the members of this team but none of us have cameras, which is quite a shame because we're all pretty good looking.
OH and...
I bet when the Neanderthal kids would make a snowman, someone would always end up saying, "Don't forget the thick, heavy brows." Then they would all get embarrassed because they remembered they had the big hunky brows too, and they'd get mad and eat the snowman.

WOW! And Wow, again! A 26 point buck ...uh-huh! Regardless of the possible "truth-stretching" ... I love the Kolbe Blog!
WOW! What about the time the Van flipped 37 times and then landing right back on it's four little wheels-meanwhile avoiding the 50 little school kids making their merry way to happy feild trip land??? I like that one too!
Nice work Kolbe team. I'd say "God bless" but apparently he already has.
Not too shabby. A fabrication after my own heart.
"J-dog said...

J-dog does not say things like this. J-dog says thigs like "Peter should have left the girls behind so that he wouldn't have to speed" or "Children in Cowiche will now be forced to go hungry because Peter didn't get them fresh meat" or something like that. Whoever logged in and posted as me, please stop. There only needs to be one of me mucking about on the REACH site and that one me is me. cough ANDERSON cough
Oh, and tell Peter that my copy of True Devotion, the one that I didn't even know that I had, came in the mail yesterday with my other books, so I have started reading it now.
