Lazy F Camp
Hey - the Reach Staff (that's me, Dan, and Laura) went on a field trip yesterday with the St. Joan of Arc Team (that's Fred, Alaina, Mark, and Melissa) to visit the Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center in Ellensburg. Dan's wife Renee and their three adorable kids came with us, too, so it really was like a field trip, complete with wrong turns, roads closed because of winter weather, lunch in the van, potty stops along the way ... Anyway, I digress ~
What an AWESOME facility! In case you don't already know, this is the new site for Reach's annual Discipleship Week - formerly known as The DUB. The Camp is incredible - a pond (stocked with trout in late April,) hiking trails, campfire area, outdoor chapel, lots of cabins with bunk-beds (no more sleeping on classroom floors,) pool table, foos-ball, ping-pong, basketball, a creek, and so much more ... including a camp dog named Ginger who all but led our tour.
I hope you are planning to come, because it is going to be GREAT! Mark your calendar for June 16 - 21. Visit our "Events" page to get all the registration information - including forms - and plan to join the Reach Teams for a great camp experience!
By the way, Roseanna Bartleson and I asked Dave (our tour guide) just where exactly the name "Lazy F Camp" comes from: It comes from the French laissez faire - a place to rest, relax, and do as you choose ... And come June 16 - 21, we'll be doing that the Reach Way!
