No Resurrection Without the Crucifixion
I've recently been "accused" of having a ... let's see, how did Matt Libra put it? ... a Solidly Lenten Death Theme permeating my blog. After a few moment's reflection, I had to agree that it appears to be true.
In my own defense, I wanted to remind everyone that there is no Resurrection without the Crucifixion - no Kingdom without the Cross!
But, as St. Paul says in his second letter to Timothy ...
You can depend on this: If we have died with him, we shall also live with him;
If we hold out to the end we shall also reign with him.
And I truly do await the Resurrection with joyful anticipation.
